National Cancer Patient Experience Survey (NCPES)

The NCPES award was launched at last week`s Cancer Services, Data and Outcomes conference. This national award will recognise excellence and best practice in using NCPES data to improve services. The first winners will be announced in 2019.

Over the coming months a group led by patient representatives and supported by Macmillan Cancer Support, NHS England and PHE will be working to shape the criteria for the award. Regarding the future of the survey, NHS England has advised that - The Your NHS Data Matters landing page now includes reference to the national patient experience surveys in the list of exemptions
